“Light & Joy” — A Celebration of Color, Warmth, and the Holiday Spirit

This December, Gallery Lumina invites local artists and artists from around the world to submit small-format works for our juried group exhibition, “Light & Joy.”

As the year draws to a close, we gather to celebrate the radiant energy of color, light, and hope—the sparks that carry us through darkness into renewal.

“Light & Joy” seeks to capture the warmth of the season — the glow of togetherness, the quiet moments of reflection, and the universal language of joy expressed through art. We invite works that radiate positivity, celebrate community, and remind us of the simple, luminous beauty in everyday life.

To make art accessible to all and to give every piece the chance for a permanent home, all submitted works must not exceed 10” x 10” in size(with frame).

This intimate scale encourages both affordability and closeness — inviting collectors and viewers to bring a piece of light into their own spaces.

Eligibility

• ⁠Open to local, National, International artists working in any medium(2D).

• Size should not exceed 10" × 10"

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

• ⁠No prior exhibition experience is required.

Submission Guidelines

• ⁠All submitted works must be original and created by the artist.

• ⁠Artworks should be appropriate for a general audience. We encourage creativity while maintaining respect for all viewers.

• All artworks must be properly wired and ready to display.

• ⁠Selected artworks must be available for the entire time of exhibition duration.

Application Requirements

• ⁠A statement of interest (150 words max) describing your artistic practice and vision.

• no prior exhibition experiences required.

• ⁠3 pictures of your recent works for selection (high-resolution images).

• ⁠Title, medium, dimensions, and price (if for sale) for each submitted piece. The gallery will retain a 25% commission on each sale.

Application Fee

• A non-refundable submission fee of $25 is required.

• Submission due : November 28th,2025.

• Drop off- if selected: December 8th(Time: 2-6pm)

• Pick up: January 3rd(Time: 2-6pm)
